Hello, my name is Tony,and I live in luzerne county.And I thought people would like to know what type of radios people are using.Also it might help other people make a choice of what scanner to buy. Here is of list of my equipment. Bearcat 210xlt 40ch.base Bc.100 xlt 100ch.handheld Bc.178 xlt 100 ch.base Bc.890 xlt 200 ch.mobile/base Sportcat 150B 100 ch. heandheld Bc.895 xlt 300 ch. mobile/base trunktracker 1 Sportcat 180 xlt 100 ch. handheld alphanumeric Sportcat 200xlt 200 ch. Race Scanner Bc.245 xlt 300 ch. handheld trunktracker 2 Bc.780 xlt 500 ch. mobile/base trunktracker 3 Pro-79 200 ch. handheld Pro-95 1000 ch. handheld trunktracker Pro-99 500ch. racescanner wth/ctcss tone code Pro-83 200ch. handheld scanner Pro-97 1000ch.Handheld trunktracker I have three outdoor antennas 1.) SA-1 scanner antenna. 2.) Scantenna 3.) Radio shack Discone I also have a large amount of different handheld antennas. And last a GRE-super amp. for the handheld scanners. I have two MURS radios green dot frequencies (154.600Mhz.) And 1 GMRS radio,and several sets of FRS radios.

Heres what I got at home.
Uniden baracat 300ch scanner with dual trunking. Radio Shack 200ch Cobra 16ch desktop scanner and last but not least my favorite, the Motorola Minitor 4 Motorola Minitor 3 Motorola Minitor 2 (red) 10 Channel low band, VHF, and UHF scanner 2 Maxxon 4 ch. Portable Radios

Hey Stogie,I don't know about Tony,but Do you wonder how many of these "kid's" know what crystals were or what they were used for Tony are you "of age" to know this

Hey Stogie,I don't know about Tony,but Do you wonder how many of these "kid's" know what crystals were or what they were used for Used for the first minitor (1) and the Minitor 2. the crystal opened the pager when the tones were selected, now eh days they use chips on the Minitor 3 and Minitor 4 models.

Yeah Keith, We are showing our age here! ;D Jon, You are close, I use my old Minitor 1 as a wheel chock for my van now! Crystal: A component which allows a crystal-controlled scanner to receive a particular frequency. Early scanners were crystal-controlled. Me I never had one. I would buy one to collect. I found a old partolman radio scanner? It looks like a radio still works was $1.00 at a fle market.

Well I have a addition to my scanner setup. I recently got a working Klaxton. its really cool, its mounted on the wall of my room..... AAEEENNTTTTT. Luzerne county signing on swoyersville fire respond to.... ;D

Hey Jon, Where have you been ? Those Klaxon Horns are really cool. I use to have one hooked up to my plectron many years ago,after about a month they start getting to you ;D

Ive been extemely busy with brush fires and working at the station. ive been checking up on here every night but I signed in "invisible" Thats cool. Mine is mounted on my room wall, it vibrates the kitchen table 4 rooms away! The hornes are really loud but cool!. Too bad i have it programed to honk for Ambulance calls and Fire ;D

Well, I thought I already did this,but I don't see it here so I'll do it again In my radio room there is a BC 895 XLT (300 Channel) and a BC 898 T (500 Channel) scanner ,a Icom 207 H Amateur radio, a Regency RH 256 VHF tranceiver for Fire/EMS/EMA and a Midland 74-200 all Hazard weather radio,2 Minitor II's (one's my wifes) and twin Realistic DX-160 shortwave radios. In the kitchen is a Plectron 720, in the bedroom,is a BC 600 XLT (100 ch)scanner and then in the garage is the HX-1000 a 30 ch scanner ;D
