I've been hearing lots of radio traffic on frequency 406.775 MHz with a PL of 203.5 hear in Blair County. It seems like from listening to the transmissions that it is some type of maintance crew. The only large government building that i know of in my area is the James E. Van Zandt V.A. medical center in Altoona. Does anyone know if this is a common frequency that may be used by the dept. of Vets affairs or what other agency may be using it.

I have 10 different Fed lists, including Tom Kneitle's Gov Freq's (but not the most recent), and there is nothing for that freq or anything immediately on either side of it. You're going to have to find out by listening

I was able to confirm that the frequency is being used at the Altoona V.A. hospital and is used for some type of maintence crew in the building. Also i found 167.865 being used as a paging frequency. not much voice traffic on either frequency.
